SUMMER FUN!
This summer the Residents at Swedish Canadian Rest Home have been keeping busy and having fun!
During some of our bus outings, the residents have gone with our recreation team to places like Pitt Lake for a picnic and Burnaby Mountain to get some fresh air while smelling the beautiful roses at the garden. At the beginning of July they got to celebrate Midsummer with many people from our community at the Scandinavian Midsummer Fest that took place at the Scandinavian Center!
Bus outings aren’t the only way our residents have fun – our recreation team puts on many activities throughout the week including games like Bingo and Crosswords, exercise classes and many activities to showcase our residents artistic sides – including making lovely floral arrangements!
